Nobody who met Ann could fail to be struck by her keen intelligence. Her students were lucky to have such a devoted, caring and inspiring teacher. Those of us who were her friends were glad every minute to be around such a funny, vivacious, luminous, loyal and kind person. Even though her health had been deteriorating recently, this news is still shocking and sad for so many of us who cared for her. My deepest condolences to her family.
