Obituary for Armand Pepper

Armand “Pep” Pepper, residing in Naples FL passed away peacefully at Avow Hospice on March 6, 2023 at 97 years old after a long illness.

Pep was born and grew up in Bronx, NY. A WWII veteran with the 41st Infantry from 1944-1946 (after initially enlisting in 1941 at the age of 15), Pep was a proud member of the VFW and JWV. He married Carol Ascherman in 1961 and moved to New City NY, retiring to Naples FL in 1991.

Pep leaves behind Carol, his loving wife of 61 years, his brother Benjamin and 3 loving children: Carin (Tom), Jerald and Eric. As a portrait photographer, Pep owned his own studio for many years. Pep was truly devoted to his family. He was an avid fan of the New York Rangers and Mets (after his beloved NY Giants left) and enjoyed swimming, both in New City with his dog Patches and in Naples. Happy-go-lucky and always looking at the bright side, Pep often just broke into song spontaneously throughout the day and was very handy and creative with all kinds of household projects. A true hero as a WWII veteran and a hero to his family as well, Pep will be dearly missed.

Donations in Pep's memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans at www.DAV.org or by mail to P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301 or to Avow Hospice at Avowcares.org or by mail to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples FL 34105.
