Obituary for Beth Anne Coates
Beth Anne Coates passed away on March 4th, 2023, her 63rd birthday. She is survived by her son, Parker Swenson and his wife, Phoebe Borden, and her daughter Kathryn Swenson and her husband, Jeffrey Rollo. Beth is also survived by her two siblings, Chris Coates and Cathy Coates, and her parents, Bill Coates and Margaret Coates.
A devoted and beloved mother, Beth was a mainstay throughout her children’s lives. Whether that was dressed in a full head-to-toe orange jumpsuit to cheer on her son’s soccer team or learning all things equestrian spending weeknights and weekends in the barn with her daughter, Beth supported her kids no matter their excursion. An incredibly accomplished athlete herself, Beth lettered in soccer and tennis throughout high school in Coventry, CT and was a club champion in tennis at the Woodlands Club in Falmouth, ME.
Beth’s sharp wit, her adoration of her dogs, and her love of all things music and sports will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to a charity of your choosing.
