Obituary for Christine Ann Bragg
Christine A. Bragg (nee Struik), 80, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2021. Chris was born on March 10, 1941 to Jack and Winnifred Struik in Chessington, Surrey, England. Chris grew up in and around West Ewell, Surrey, England. She was educated at the local primary and secondary schools. After leaving school she worked as a civil servant in London and Guilford, England.
In 1963, she married David Bragg in Epsom, Surrey, England and recently celebrated their
58th wedding anniversary. Chris and Dave have three children, Amy, Andy and Katy. In 1980 they relocated the family to the United States and made it their home. They have established a wide network of family, friendships and bonds, both in the US and in the UK that live on to this day.
Chris enjoyed many hobbies which included painting, baking, history and reading. She also had a passion for animals and worked for many years at the North Prairie Veterinary Clinic. Most of all Chris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren exploring nature, nurturing their creativity and developing their individuality.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Winnifred Struik. She is survived by her husband David, three children, Amy Bragg, Andy (Anna) Bragg, and Katy (Phil) Bickelhaupt. Grandchildren Emma, Grace, Jacob, Kylie and Kendall. Brothers Peter Struik, Martin (Jenny) Struik and Neil (Jan) Striuk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews throughout England.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer in Wisconsin at a location and date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in the name of Christine to the Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida who did such a wonderful job in providing comfort and care to Christine and family during the final stages of her illness.
