Obituary for Douglas Scott Morris
Ft Myers, Fl. Douglas “Scott” Morris
With a heavy heart we regret to announce that on Friday May 13th, 2022 Douglas “Scott” Morris passed away at the age of 65.
Scott was born on October 24th, 1956, in Miami Florida to Douglas and Maye Morris. He moved to Georgia as a teenager and worked the family farms, he graduated from Atkinson County High School in Georgia.
Scott moved to Marco Island, Florida in 1979 and resided in both Marco, Naples, and Fort Myers these last 43 years. He was very athletic and always competitive in everything he did throughout his life. He was an absolute Beast at work and excelled to be the best at any job he had, he was the “go to guy”. Scott was a very giving man, with a huge heart, he was a fun-loving prankster, and always helped in any way he could. No matter what he was going through in life, he had a knack of building others up.
Scott truly loved all his children and grandchildren, he left us way to soon, and we will sorely miss him!
Scott is survived by his 5 children: Eric, Douglas “Quinn”, Candice, Taylor, and Travis “Cole”,
9 Grandchildren: Dade, Devanna, Camron, Vivianne, Evelynne Giselle, Kaylie, Brendin, Evelynn Marie, and Zaiden, his Sister Susan Wilson, Brother Earl Morris, and 7 nieces and nephews, plus 7 great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
