Obituary for James Robert Tindall

James Robert (Jim) Tindall, age 77, of Naples Florida died of suicide on November 15, 2022.

A memorial service will be held at The Gathering, 3001 Santa Barbara Boulevard on Monday,
December 5 at 10:00am.

Jim was born at Fort Meade in Maryland to Mary and Robert Tindall on November 10, 1945. He
graduated from University of Michigan earning a BA, then attended DePaul University earning
an MBA. Jim was an Ensign in the United States Navy, serving at The Pentagon from
1967-1970. He worked as an executive for the Quaker Oats Company for much of his life. Jim
enjoyed playing golf and tennis, traveling, cooking and his church. He was a man of faith and
spent the majority of his time after retirement volunteering, helping others in the Naples
community and around the world.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Annie Johnson (Jeffery) of Chicago, Illinois. His grandson,
Charlie Johnson of Chicago, Illinois. His sister, Marcia Tindall (Amy Furman) of Silver Spring,
Maryland. His brother Rick Tindall (Holly) of Bloomington, Illinois. He was preceded in death by
his parents, Mary and Bob Tindall, his first wife, Jean Hahm, and his second wife, Mary Ann
Sharp. He never recovered from MaryAnn’s passing.
