Jerry Lex Brasher, 85, of Naples Florida passed away, Tuesday, April 2, 2021, at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  Funeral Services  will begin immediately after the viewing at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Palm Royale Cemetery Chapel, 6780 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples, Florida. Burial will follow in the Veteran’s Honor Garden at Palm Royale Cemetery.

Jerry was born, January 2, 1936, in McNeil, Arkansas to Ernest and Una (Eades) Brasher. He graduated from McNeil High School in 1954. After one year of college, Jerry joined the United States Navy where he spent the next 20 years. On August 1, 1959, He married Lillian Koert in Sweeny, Texas. Jerry was an avid fisherman for years and won Navy Orlando Bassmaster’s of the year in 1989, 1990, and 1991. He also served as president of Navy Bassmaster’s Club for many years. He spent most of his weekends fishing the lakes of Central and South Florida.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Brasher and Una (Eades) Brasher, and son Rodger Jerry Brasher.  He is survived by his wife, Lillian (Koert) Brasher, Naples, FL, son, Robert Brasher, Naples, FL, daughter, Tammy (Bobby) Wade, Gallatin, TN. Five Grandchildren, Preston (Morgan) Wade, Nashville, TN, Channing (Peyton) Wade, Hendersonville, TN, Rodger Jerry Brasher Jr., Naples, FL. Samantha (Steve) Albert, Derby, CT, Courtney Brasher Combs, Tampa, FL. Five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
