Obituary for Joan Heaney
Joan Heaney, 87 of Rockaway Beach, Queens New York passed away on January 11, 2021 in Naples, Florida. Joan was born in Rockaway Beach to Gerard Rost & Florence Leinker on August 4, 1933. Joan worked in the medical field for fifty years. She is survived by her son William and his wife Kathy and Grandson William (Marie) and great-grand-son, William, Jr.
Joan leaves sisters Teresa and Florence and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Janet, her husband Bobby Heaney, Mother Flo, brothers Bobby, Eddie, Richie, and Jimmy and sister Patty Girl and Edward Kearney.
The family also wished to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Pattianne Kelly. She was our love and support throughout Joan’s illness. Without her, our journey would have been much more difficult. We will be forever grateful.
