Obituary for Mark Donahue

Mark, age 66, was born in Worcester, MA, on May 11, 1954.
He was adopted at age 3 by Joe and Geraldine (Gerri) Donahue and grew up in Marshfield, MA.

Mark was employed for many years at Wilmington Ford in Wilmington, MA, as the used car manager until he moved to Naples, Florida. in 1993 where he continued his career and love for cars until he retired.

Mark loved his relationship with God and Jesus Christ and read his Bible faithfully. He is finally free from a body that hosted ALS for the past 30 years and is now able to know freedom from pain and limitations. He is finally face to face with his Creator and Father...Amen

Mark is survived by his wife Rebecca D Harland, daughter Angela Donahue, Angela's children Paige and Haley Brann, sister Pamela Hill, niece Pricilla Westfield, Pricilla's 3 children Josiah, David Jr., and Phoenix, step-son Rob Pina and grandchildren Robby Pina and Anthony Pina, Cousin Bill Langmaid, and close friends Rich McCarran, Steve Impellizzeri, Dwayne Broomfield, Joe Schindler, and Robin MacMillan. Mark is also survived by our beloved cats Mr. B and Pattycakes. Mark is preceded in death by his Mother Geraldine Donahue and Father Joseph Donahue.

Mark's laughter and hundreds of crazy stories will be missed. I will miss our talks that went on for hours and hours on the lanai and making his favorite breakfast. He always said he loved my cooking. Good thing I love to cook...lol I will miss clipping his nails and trimming his crazy nose and ear hairs which always made us laugh. I will miss helping him button his shirts and tying his shoes. I will miss arguing with him about which one of us the cats loved more. I miss the early years when he let me paint him.

The past two years were his most difficult, and I'm happy to have been there to support, bring peace, and quiet any fears that came up. Peace, Love and Light, are his garments now, and the experience of Divine Love is in his presence.

A private Funeral Service will be held at sea on May 1, 2021, at 5 P.M.
