Obituary for Mary Elaine Crowley
Mary Elaine Crowley, 78 of Naples Florida passed on August 30th, 2022 (on her wedding anniversary 8/30/1964) to Richard Crowley of 58 years.
Mary was born in Winchester, Massachusetts on September 24, 1943. She is the daughter of the late James H. and Mary Emily (Peters) Thornton of Reading, MA. Mary went to St. Agnes elementary school and then to Reading Memorial High School class of 1961. Mary went on to become an LPN. Subsequently, she worked at the Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick MA on the med surge floor for 5 years. Mary then transferred to Riverbend Nursing Home in South Natick for eight years.
Rick and Mary moved to Franklin, MA where they lived for 41 years before moving to Naples, FL in 2007.
Mary is survived by her husband Richard B. Crowley of Naples, her daughter Kathleen M. Austin of New York, Richard B. Crowley (Mary), of Bellingham, MA. Seven grandchildren; Sean Doherty of Maine, Christopher Austin of Marysville, MD, Courtney Gullickson of Silverdale, Washington, Daniel Austin of New York, Emma, Nicholas, and Connor Crowley of Bellingham, MA. Mary leaves her sister Lois (Frank) Jason, Maureen (Ronald) Visocchi and her 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Mary’s life will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Avow Hospice 1095 Whippoorwill Ln, Naples, FL 34105.
