Obituary for Matthew William Gabrielson
Matthew William Gabrielson passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. He joins his grandparents Harold & Lucille Miller and William & Geraldine Gabrielson, who passed before him. He is survived by his son, Trey William, and his mother Angela of Estero, FL, his parents Joyanne (Ray) and Thomas (Marilyn), siblings Thomas (Tina) and Michele (Timothy), and nieces and nephews who knew him as their Uncle Matt—Savanah (Tanner and Baby Miller), Holly, Malory, Gabriel, Megan, Gunner, and Jamie—all of Dayton, Ohio. He also leaves behind extended family members from the Miller side and several great friends, who loved him dearly.
Matt was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 19, 1972. He graduated from Centerville High School and attended The Ohio State University. Being a talented golfer, he was happy to be a long-term resident of SW Florida, where he favored the restaurant business, working at several upscale eateries. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, cooking expertise, his love of fatherhood, and so much more. His family is very proud of his courageous battle that he fought for over two years, for his son and loved ones. A private celebration of life is planned, both in Ohio and Florida.
