Obituary for Merri "Jo" Josephine Hatfield
Merri "Jo" Hatfield, 63, of Naples Florida passed away on April 2, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Merri "Jo" was born in Philadelphia Pa. December 17, 1959 the daughter of Walter and Louise Conti. Jo was fun loving and had a competitive side. She enjoyed Diving and Gymnastics and was the Captain of the Drill Team dance team. After graduating from Westerville High School, she attended Ohio State School of Cosmetology and was certified as a Cosmetologist. She moved to Naples FL where she became certified as an Opthalmic Technician and worked at Montgomery Eye Center for over 20 years.
Merri Jo was a woman of great Faith and a member of First Baptist Church of Naples. Besides her unbridled love for her husband, Jo was passionate about the Dallas Cowboys and spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. Jo's greatest joy was her love of all animals, especially dogs (Jeff), and she rescued many- most of which found their forever homes with her and her family.
Merri Jo was preceded in death by her father, Walter Conti Sr and her sister, Lynda Conti.
Merri Jo is survived by her Beloved husband of 31 years, Michael Hatfield, and Loving family: mother, Louise Conti of Naples FL; brother, Walt Conti Jr of Memphis Tn-nephews, Gianni and Luca Conti; sisters: Maria Conti Neace of Naples FL-nieces, Louise Neace, Linnea (Kaio) DeSouza, Megan Neace; Lisa Conti Terlizzi of Estero FL; Carla (Todd) Gilreath of Venice FL-nephew, Gehrig Gilreath.
