Obituary
Michael Clayton MacNerland, 38, of Naples, Florida and originally born and raised in Saranac Lake, New York passed away tragically on April 4th, 2021. He was surrounded by his family in their home.
Michael was predeceased by his grandparents Dempsey and Nancy Johnson, grandmother Luna Howard and grand-father Robert MacNerland. He is survived by his grandmother Joan MacNerland, parents Richard and Tia MacNerland, his brother and brother’s wife Stephen and Deirdre MacNerland and his nephew Brayden MacNerland. After Michael attended Saranac Lake High School, he went on to study art at SUNY Oswego.
Michael was an exceptional artist and author of poetry books and short stories. He was a lifelong learner and loved to read books and listen to podcasts of the universe, science and he was so excited for what AI (Artificial Intelligence) was going to look like in the next ten years. While he had many favorite mediums, the one thing he loved on earth more than anything was his mother Tia.

Honour requested no services be held and that his ashes be spread. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Mental Health America in memory of Michael Clayton MacNerland.
