Obituary

Mickey Lee Williams
Bonita Springs, FL

Mickey L. Williams, 81, of Bonita Springs, FL peacefully passed away at 5:21pm in her home with daughter, Kim Montgomery, by her side. Mickey was born February 26, 1939 in Peoria, IL to Otis and Lola (Standard) Lingenfelter. She married Burl E. Williams on June 30, 1956. He passed away on September 22, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Williams, son-n-law Terry Montgomery and 13 siblings.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by family; Mickey is survived by her daughter, Kim (Terry) Montgomery of Bonita Springs, FL; granddaughter Jennifer (Ken) Spirewka of Milwaukee, WI, grandson James (Natalie) Montgomery of Milbank, SD and Brett (Courtney) Montgomery of Golden Gate, FL and 3 great-grandchildren James Jr, Julia and Isabelle; and several nieces and nephews.

Mickey retired as a Cosmetologist from SuperX after many years of service. She truly lived life through simple pleasures like baking & cooking, crocheting, bowling and fishing with family in Chetek. Mickey was the matriarch of our family and invariably put the needs of others ahead of herself. She was always there to share in our laughter, our joy, our sorrow and pain. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Through rain or shine, she always had the time. Her influence has left a lasting impression on us all, and her spirit will always remain alive and well in the lives of all that knew her.

Mickey will be cremated and her remains will be placed by the side of her husband at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, IL.

My heart is so sad hearing that my Aunt Mickey passed away after a relatively-short illness. None of us was prepared for her to pass away. She was always so strong, and had a real Lingenfelter fighting attitude, and took care of her family. I have so many memories of vacations and family picnics with her and the rest of the Lingenfelter family. She loved her husband, son, daughter, granddaughter, grandsons, and great-grandchildren so much. Her sisters and brothers were so close, because she was basically raised by them since she was two weeks old when her mother passed away. The special bond between her and my mom was something to behold. She considered my mom her rock, and in my mom's last year, especially, she was right by mom's side through the darker days of Parkinsons.

Kim and Jenny, I'm so sorry for the sadness you are feeling. Stay strong. Your mom/grandma would want that. Kim, she was blessed to have you by her side 24/7 through those last weeks of her life. I'm sure she was so glad she was at home with you and her beloved dog, Chloe, when she passed away. I'm sending condolences to all her family and friends who will miss her so much.

THE whole Castellani family sends our condolences to Kim and the rest of the Williams family on Aunt Mickeys passing. I will always picture Mickey in a boat up in Chetek Ws. with Burl at the wheel. They were always a treat to be around, never a dull moment! Burl and Mickey truly loved their place up there. During “Cat vacation” I believe the Lingenfelter crew had the whole lake covered. Again, our condolences on your loss. Gene and Debbie Castellani
