Obituary for Pauline Cooper Scott
Surrounded by family, Our Heavenly Father welcomed home Polly Scott, on February 3,2023 in Naples, Fl.
Polly Scott was born on January 25, 1933, to the Parents of William H. Cooper and Bonnie Mae Bradshaw of Morton, MS.
Polly was a Graduate of Morton High School, where she played the clarinet. She attended Millsaps College in Jackson, MS majoring in Music. While attending college she met Rev. Oliver Scott and they married having four children: Jane, Oliver Jr., Ann and Randy.
While raising her family of 4 children, she had the opportunity to use her talents directing many Adult and Youth Choirs and playing the piano for church functions in Forest MS., Panama City FL., Mobile AL., Headland AL., Chipley FL., Fairhope AL. and several other churches in AL. While sharing her talent of music she made it her “mission”, to share the love of God through music. We loved to hear her play the piano, and yes there were several piano recitals as she was an amazing piano teacher as well.
Polly loved to travel. She went on an amazing trip to Israel with her church in Mobile AL., and she even rode a camel! Polly also had a love for flowers. Just sitting in her yard was a beautiful joy to view all the colors. At one time, she had almost 90 potted plants on the patio and porch.
Polly was a wonderful Mom, Grandmother (Gran-Gran), Aunt Pauline and Great Grandmother. She loved her family and was just as sweet as honey. She loved to cook for all of us. She made the best sweet tea, German chocolate cake and the greatest Gumbo you have ever tasted. She loved us all so devotedly.
Forever in our hearts, she will be greatly missed.
Polly is preceded in death by her Parents: William and Bonnie Cooper; Son Randy Scott; Lavell Cooper, Billie Ray Cooper (Brothers); Katie Maude Nobles, Genell (Cooper) Beard (Sisters)
Polly is survived by Jane Page and Ann Gallagher (Daughters); Oliver Jr. Scott (Son)
Grandchildren: Kevin Hays (wife, Jeni), Amanda Ferry (husband, Mike), Leah Gallagher, Wesley Scott (wife, Courtney)
Great Grand Children: Cody and Emily Hays, Dylan and Madison Ferry, Ella and Ashton Morles, Izayah, Zaiden, Maddox, and Xander Scott.
The Celebration of Life will be held at: North Naples United Methodist
Church March 26th,2023 at 12:30 6000 Goodlett Rd. Naples, FL. 34109
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested Polly to be honored with
donations to the: North Naples United Methodist Church Music Youth Camp
