Phyllis Francis (Rigano) Geraci of Needham, MA, and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, April 12, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Frank A. Geraci for 63 years; loving mother of John M. Geraci and fiancée Joan Newlon of Franklin, MA, Stephen and wife Jennifer Geraci of Needham, MA, Gary and wife Dianne Geraci of Windham, NH; adored grandmother to seven grandchildren: James Geraci, Laura Geraci, Anna Geraci, Dan Geraci, John F. Geraci, Ella Geraci and Olivia Geraci; sister of the late Rosario ‘Richard’ Rigano and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Rigano; sister-in-law and best friend of Catherine Mancini.

She also leaves three nieces and four nephews. A longtime former employee of GTE in Needham, MA, Phyllis began her career in Washington, D.C., working for the State Department. While in Washington, Phyllis enjoyed the culture, arts and music scene of the 1950’s. Phyllis, a gourmet cook of Italian cuisine, shared her passion for food with the love of her life husband Frank. Together, they steadfastly shared love of God, family, grandchildren, friends, fine food, travel and the ocean. Phyllis’ early bond with the ‘Bridge Group’ was the cause of much shared fun and laughter deep into the night. Raising their family in Needham, they spent fifty-eight wonderful beach summers in Marshfield, MA, and later in life spent winters together in Florida.

Phyllis also cherished her tightknit lifelong friendships made in Rexhame Beach and Naples, FL ‘Countryside’. Phyllis enjoyed playing piano, cheering mightily for the Red Sox and Patriots and quiet time painting. She will always be remembered for her sustained selfless compassion and energy to care for others. She frequently volunteered her services for Saint Mathews in Naples and The Senior Center of Marshfield.

Services will be held Friday, April 23rd 10am, Saint Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church Naples, FL and will be broadcast live on YOUTUBE: A memorial service and internment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Needham, MA followed by a life celebration planned for later this summer. Please observe local COVID restrictions. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Phyllis’ memory to: Saint Ann By The Sea, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA.
