Obituary for Phyllis Ann York
Phyllis York, 68 years of age of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with Kidney disease.
Born Phyllis Ann Durkin in Allentown, PA on October 20,1952, Phyllis graduated from Radford University in 1978 then earned a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Virginia Tech before working as a Financial Aid Director at Lehigh County Community College, Muhlenberg College and consultant for Florida Gulf Coast University.
A devoted Wife and Mother, Phyllis is survived by her husband James D. York and her 3 Children, Sons: James D. Jr., and Michael and Daughter: Morgan, the proud Grandmother of 5 Grand Children: Brooks, Greyson, Monroe, Elliot and Everly York to whom she was affectionately known as GiGi.
Due to the ongoing pandemic the family is planning a Celebration of Life for Phyllis on her Birthday in 2021. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Kidney Fund in her name.
