Obituary for Robert Thomas Norton

Robert Thomas Norton (Bob/Chickie) passed away peacefully October 5th 2022 at age 92 in Bonita Springs, FL.

Bob leaves his devoted wife of 58 years, Joy (Brown) Norton, his son Robert B Norton, daughters Teresa E Griffin and Heidi E. Mosher (husband Douglas B Mosher). Bob has five grandchildren, Adam and Timothy Mosher, Madison and Hayley Norton and Emma Griffin. Bob is survived by his sister Marylou Darcy. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Helen C. and Thomas M. Norton III: brothers Thomas, William, James and Walter; son Thomas E. Norton and son in law Stanley Griffin.

Bob was born October 13, 1929 and grew up in Waltham, MA. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the Korean War. He worked at Raytheon in Bedford, MA where he met his wife, and then Reece Corporation in Waltham, MA and retired from Kybe Corporation in Waltham, MA. Bob was a member and employee at the Loyal Order of the Moose for decades. He loved to play sports, especially golf at Leo J. Martin in Weston MA. Over 20 years ago, he moved to Bonita Springs Golf and Country Club to enjoy golf and joined the Bonita Recreation to play cards and table tennis with friends. Throughout his life, he faithfully followed all college and professional sports.

He will join his four brothers at the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA (Cape Cod) with military honors scheduled for May 12, 2023 at 11:15am.
