Obituary for Robert J "Bob" Orgass
Robert J. Orgass (Bob), 67,of Marco Island Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 24, 2021.
Bob was born on November 9, 1953 to Richard and Claire Orgass in Flushing, New York. After graduating from West Hempstead H.S. and attending Hillsdale College on a football scholarship, he settled in North Carolina where he developed his skills in custom woodworking. He eventually resided on Marco Island, Florida.
On Marco Island, he was well known for his extensive history working with cabinet restoration and design. He went on to open his own business, Bob’s Custom Repair Inc., which he ran for almost 10 years.
He was happiest when surrounded by his family.
Bob was predeceased by his parents Richard and Claire Orgass, his brothers Timothy, Richard, and his granddaughter Wyntre. He is survived by his wife, Amy; 6 children: Drew and Rakim Gaines and their children Jaden and Nora, Luke and Natasha and their children Robby and Avery, Zachary, Claire and her son Elliot, Emily, and Zoe, as well as his own 3 brothers, 3 sisters and their families.
