Obituary for Ryan M. Jackson

Ryan M. Jackson, 62, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on October 23, 2022.

Ryan was born in Sanford, Maine, to Richard and Janice Jackson on November 22, 1959. Ryan went to Sanford High School and graduated in 1979. Ryan worked in the construction industry his entire life. He went on to become a State of Florida Certified Building Contractor in 2002, and R Jackson Construction, Inc. was established. Ryan earned his reputation as a very trustworthy, conscientious, and hardworking, contractor in the area for many years before retiring on January 1, 2022.

Ryan was always the Life of the Party. He loved spending time with family and friends and making people laugh. He was always up for an adventure. He enjoyed four-wheeling, boating, off-shore fishing, and, in recent years, RVing with his wife. Ryan was absolutely the most selfless person, always putting others before himself. Ryan truly loved life.

Ryan is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Susan (White) Jackson, of Bonita Springs, FL. They were married on August 26, 1989, and had recently celebrated 33 years of marriage. Their love for each other was truly undeniable.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Cailyx (Jackson) Dunn and his son-in-law, Nathaniel Dunn, of Greenville, SC. They were married on September 24, just one month prior to Ryan’s passing. It was Cailyx’s dream come true to have her Dad walk her down the aisle. This wedding was an incredible blessing and a very treasured memory. Ryan was so incredibly proud of Cailyx.

Ryan’s adorable and loyal puppy, Koda, sure will miss his “Daddy.” Koda brought so much joy and laughter to Ryan’s life each and every day.

Ryan is survived by his daughter, Bryanna Hurtubise, his sister, Carol, and her husband, Brian Kimball, his brothers, Scott Jackson and Roland Jackson, and his nieces and nephews, Todd, Eric, Kristy, Heather, Christopher, and Emily, and their extended families.

Ryan is also survived by his sister-in-law, Stephanie, and her husband, Douglas Hupe, his sister-in-law, Valerie White, and her husband, Ric Loyd, his brother-in law, John White, and his wife, Tiffany, his nephews, Justin Thibodeau and Jeffrey Thibodeau, and his wife, Kendall, Hooper Loyd, his niece, Lyric White, and his mother-in-law, Phyllis Vaccaro.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Ryan’s memory.

A Celebration of Life was held at Ryan and Susan’s home in Bonita Springs, FL, on October 29 to honor him. He deserved this beautiful celebration and more. He will always be remembered by his beloved family and treasured friends. There are no words to express how deeply he will be missed.
