William Davis Kelsey III of Naples, Florida and previously from Westerville OH passed away peacefully on October 18, 2022, at the age of 88.
Born on August 7, 1934, in Hamburg, New York he was preceded in death by, his parents, Ethel Learn Kelsey & William Davis Kelsey Jr. and brother-in-law David (Dave) Axelson.
Survived by his wife, Linda Kelsey of Naples, FL; sister Ann Kelsey Axelson of La Habra, CA; daughters, Kathy Kelsey, Suzanne Inge, Patricia Kelsey Bishop, son, Bill (Jacqui) Kelsey, and stepdaughter, Tammy (Matt) Dixon. Along with 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 2 nephews.
He enlisted to serve our country in 1954 as a medic in the United States Army during the Korean War, and honorably discharged in 1956. During his 88 years, he lived in several states from NY to CA, OH and FL. In the last few years, he spent most of his time in FL enjoying the sunshine and golfing. He was always willing to help others through service. Bill always had a firm handshake and a warm smile to greet those around him. He loved woodworking, fishing and having his loving dog, Gracie, by his side at all times.
Bill was a member of St Finbarr Catholic Church in Naples FL and the American Legion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, November 25 at 11 am at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin- Granville Road, New Albany OH by Fr. Denis Kigozi follow by a rite of committal at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Habitat for Humanity, either Collier County FL or Central OH.
