I met Merrill for the first time when I joined University Lodge No.51 in Philadelphia. Merrill was the type of person who truly liked you before he even met you, he welcomed me into the lodge in April of 2004, and made me feel like I was his brother my entire life. These past few years he has been missed dearly and I am very sorry that he has passed on, but at the same time I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of meeting him and attending Lodge with him. Merrill was truly a mentor to me. On behalf of myself and the Brethren of University Lodge No. 51, I would like to extend our sincerest sympathies.
